What does Deadstock mean?

Deadstock is a term used in the sneaker community to describe a sneaker that is unworn, new and in its original condition, with all tags and packaging still attached. The term is often abbreviated as DS, and can also be written as DSWT (Deadstock sneaker with tags) to indicate that the sneaker has not been worn and comes with its original tags. Originally, the term deadstock was used to describe a sneaker that was no longer available for purchase, but now it is mainly used to describe the condition of a sneaker that is being sold, purchased or exchanged. In other words, a deadstock sneaker is a rare and highly sought-after item, as it is considered to be in pristine condition.
